The Mungyeong Teabowl Festival

You may have missed the 2009 Ceramic Artist Tour

but we will have another one in 2011.

But what about 2010 ???

We don’t have a spring “Korean Ceramic Tour” every year since we try to focus on the years when the World Ceramic Exposition is held.  However, we do have a great Korean Tea Tour focusing on tea ware and tea.  Go to TeaTourKorea.Com to learn more. It will go to the wonderful teabowl festival in Mungyeong featuring teabowl artists from at least twenty-five countries and to other tea ware artist as well as tea growers and processors throughout Korea.   At a historic temple we will stay and pick and process our own tea guided by the authors of The Korean Way of Tea - Brother Anthony of Taize and Hong Kyeong-hee.  Gangjin, home of “first under heaven” celadon will have a special event just for our tour and we may even witness the Lotus Lantern Festival if the dates are right.

We have two types of spring tours for 2010.  They are similar in concept since one focuses on antiquing in Korea, Hong Kong and China while the other focuses of tea, tea ware and the tea ceremony.  Go to TeaTourKorea.Com to learn more about the tea tour.

Go to HumanCulturalTreasureTours.Com to learn more about the spring 2010 antiquing tour.
